   9 is a filter which allows examination of compressed or plain text files
  10 one screenful at a time on a soft-copy terminal.  It is the equivalent of
  11 setting the environment variable LESSOPEN to "|gzip -cdfq %s",
  12 and then running
  13 .IR less .
  14 However, enough people seem to think that having the
  15 command
  16 .I zless
  17 available is important to be worth providing it.
